Tucson and Patagonia, AZ

I rented an Airbnb for a month in Patagonia, AZ in November 2024. This extensive trip allowed me to cover all the major birding areas of this unique area.

Salton Sea

A weekend trip with the LA Birders organization was my impetus to finally visit this ecologic and cultural treasure in the Sonoran Desert, in southeastern California. I was delighted to see many of the birds I fell in love with in Arizona like the Verdin, Gila Woodpecker, and Phainopepla.

Paso Robles, CA

Our digital nomading journey ended with a three-month stay in Paso Robles. We rented a house on 40 acres of land that was surrounded by Oak Trees and it was a delight to birdwatch from our “home” every day. I joined the Morro Bay Audubon Society, attended their annual festival, and went on several birding outings.
